Lilith, number one, looks out for Lillith. She desires and works to fulfill those desires come hell or high water, often causing a great deal of chaos for those witches who are bound to her.

As for her benevolent purpose, it is that if you are bound to her and have need for strength of will, she will provide it if it is in her interest as well, strengthening your will in the process.

I work in light (meditation-type witchcraft seen in the daytime elements) and dark (physically carnal witchcraft for connecting with shadows and unseen beings seeking me out). I have been schooled in both, felt them grow my mind, body and spirit and shall share the same in the future ones I work with. This is the balance and the growth of witchcraft complete.

Sharing your body with another in the form of sex is one of the most sacred acts that you can perform, allowing another's presence within your body in the form of allowing those spirits you are bound to to enter you during the process. Their hands become your hands, feeling the sensations that they can feel through your flesh touching the flesh of another who is infused with their bound spirits embodied.

 At the same time, it is one of the most common drives for animals on our planet. This is Nature at its finest,  transcending the self to experience that which is beyond in another's body. This is true freedom. Freedom is the hallmark of the witch.

I use the books and sigils I was given with the legacy and root, including what was given to my guide by his Lady, and what the designs the deities we work with burn into our bodies as we become books ourselves through long-term ritual practice while the energies rub on us and fill us.

Always remember though that those who are called on may or may not come. Its best to see who calls on you or is shared with you first, develop a relationship, and then go from there. Developing relationships with those of the unseen follows much of the same etiquette as with those friends you have in the seen and can evolve into something akin to marriage. All who are married sure know how much work this takes to keep the relationship running smoothly. The bonds are deep and go both ways. Sometimes you will be called to do something in service for that being as well. This is where my last post on Oaths comes in. Although after time you may eventually have some say (because it is a partnership you are working to create), you are in fact also binding yourself to the will of the Being you call on. Like in a marriage, that being can make life uncomfortable for you if you two are not in agreement as to what is happening. This is where communication skills come into play. I'm not trying to scare anyone just beginning (because this is more advanced info), just let you know how things develop over time in witchcraft.

The outcomes of whatever decisions we make are definitely influenced by the oaths we have given to nature and the unseen, whether we like it or not. That's why, with the root at least, we are asked again and again if we are sure when we wish to enter. With the dark witch designs, the oaths get stronger because they are often made by your subconscious rather than your lips.

In witchcraft there are oaths. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT, make an oath that you don't agree to in your heart and soul, it will only cause you discomfort in the end as the oath takes effect anyhow whether you like it or not. Feel, be, know.  X

I don't do anything in particular for cleaning in rituals (except maybe a deep breath beforehand), but I use certain incenses at the beginning of some rituals to harmonize and tune my and/or others' bodies for the work at hand. If something comes along that I don't want there, I just tell it to go away, let the forces I work with take care of it for me, or connect with it to find out what I am supposed to learn from their presence.

What I've learned about smudging through practice is that it actually calls spirits and harmonies to come, spirits that you want present and that it is these spirits that do the job of clearing anything unwanted in the area by the process of disbursement.

Treat your body as if you are a new inhabitant from somewhere that has no bodies. Stretch, wiggle, feel. Explore yourself like a baby who is just new to the physical form. Bask and be.

This is the merging point of the worlds, in your flesh. Respect what you have to share. Now, you are never alone. They will come.

Once SHE is within, you see,
The power is within You as well.
Will She stay within?
That is what you work to allow,
Her staying.
Then, they (mages) covet what you have as well.
Look into the mirror again,
You'll see.

Because they want you to become their gateway,
