You have to use common sense. I don't go looking for trouble and don't just
randomly call on names in texts. I call on those I've developed relationships
with in my entourage that walk and talk with me and show me themselves in my
dreams. These connections where passed to me through rituals with others who
where connected to these beings already. And I connect with some new ones from
time to time when they seek me. If I wish to work with one who hasn't found me
yet, I have a network of others in the magical world. One of them would
introduce me to the being I want to know, but at a price. This is what its like
in the linking chains. You are never alone. You have others seen and unseen on
your side. And as long as the chores connection are kept up from time to time,
these bonds continue and they help you with your day to day wishes and desires,
as well as those of the friends and family around you. Its really a beautiful
thing.

Lilith helps her witches to get what they desire come hell or high water, but you have to really want it, because the process can cause you to burn. 

She is just as likely to slap you to the ground in the process of showing Her witches what she wants, but She does this out of love. She wants her witches to be worthy, so she tests them. Her lips are the softest, sweetest, most sensual that you will ever have the desire to kiss. Her hair is dark brown, long and curled, and she likes to wear red. 

Men must treat Her in the FemDom sort of way. She will use a man for Her purposes if She has need of him and toss him out thereafter. 

She came to me before. I have kissed Her and felt her desire and anger move through me. As a result, I took actions that broke my patterns of the past and I was shunned by an entire community. She taught me what I was capable of, and I will always be grateful for that. 

Lilith, number one, looks out for Lillith. She desires and works to fulfill those desires come hell or high water, often causing a great deal of chaos for those witches who are bound to her.

As for her benevolent purpose, it is that if you are bound to her and have need for strength of will, she will provide it if it is in her interest as well, strengthening your will in the process.
